The short version
Your documents never leave your device unless you send them. CustomInvoice has no account system and no server that holds your data. We cannot see your invoices, your clients, or your business. There is no login, because there is nothing to log in to.
CustomInvoice is provided by CustomApps LLC. Questions about anything on this page go to info@customapps.us.
What stays on your device
All of it. Your business profile and logo, your clients, your invoices, estimates and receipts, your line items, your payments, your tax rates, and every PDF you generate are written to your device’s local storage and never transmitted to us.
We have no ability to read, recover or restore this data, because we never receive a copy. If you delete the app or lose the device, it is gone. The app can export your documents and payments to CSV, which is a report for your records and your accountant — it is not a backup file the app can read back, and there is no import.
Your clients’ information
CustomInvoice holds commercial information about third parties — your clients’ names, addresses, and what they owe you. That data is subject to the same rule as everything else: it stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. The usage counts described below are designed so that this information cannot reach us even accidentally.
What leaves your device, and when
1. Documents you choose to send
When you email or share a document, the PDF goes wherever you send it, through your own mail app or share sheet. It does not pass through us.
2. Anonymous usage counts
We record which features are used, so we know what to improve. These events are anonymous: no account, no personal identifier, no profile. We never receive:
- Any monetary amount
- Any client name, business name, address, email or phone number
- Any document number, description or note
- Any file, PDF or image
Numeric context is sent only in coarse buckets — for example, that an invoice had between six and ten line items — never as a real value.
This also covers technical error information: the type of error and where in the app it happened, with no document content attached. It is not comprehensive crash reporting, and we do not claim it is: an error that stops the app before it can report anything is one we never hear about.
3. Purchase handling
This version of CustomInvoice has no in-app purchase and nothing to buy. The app includes the software component that would handle a future purchase, and it operates anonymously. If a paid option is ever introduced, the purchase itself would be handled by Apple, we would receive a subscription status rather than a payment method, and we would never see your card details. This page would be updated in the same release.
4. The review prompt
The App Store rating prompt is a system feature and sends us nothing.
The app is fully functional offline. Writing a document, rendering its PDF and recording a payment need no network at all. If the network is unavailable, only the optional items above are affected.
What we never do
- No ads and no advertising SDKs
- No selling or sharing of your data with third parties
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking, no IDFA, no ad IDs
- No bank connections, ever
- No account, no email collection, no cloud sync
Children
CustomInvoice is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Because your data lives only on your device, you already have complete control over it: export your documents and payments as CSV, or delete everything by deleting the app. There is no server-side deletion request to file, because there is nothing of yours on a server.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be noted in the app’s release notes and reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
