Terms of Service

Effective · Last updated

By using CustomInvoice you agree to these terms. CustomInvoice is provided by CustomApps LLC.

1. What CustomInvoice is

CustomInvoice is a tool for creating business documents — invoices, estimates and sale receipts — that you issue under your own business identity, to your own clients, for your own work and sales. It runs entirely on your device.

2. Acceptable use

You may use CustomInvoice only to issue documents for a business you own or are authorised to represent.

You may not use CustomInvoice to:

  • Create a document that appears to be issued by any person or organisation other than your own business
  • Impersonate a bank, government body, employer, healthcare provider, retailer, or any other third party
  • Create fraudulent, forged or deliberately misleading documents, including fabricated evidence of income, employment, payment or purchase
  • Misrepresent goods, services, amounts or dates in a document sent to another party
  • Violate any tax, accounting, consumer-protection or commercial law that applies to you

The app does not provide third-party letterheads or templates belonging to other companies, by design.

3. Your data, and your responsibility for it

All data stays on your device (see the Privacy Policy). Consequently:

  • You are solely responsible for safeguarding your data. We cannot recover data lost to device loss, damage, reset or app deletion, because we never had a copy. The app can export your documents and payments to CSV for your records, but that file is a report and not a restorable backup, and the app has no import. Treat your device backup as the thing that protects your records.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of every document you create and send.
  • You are responsible for retaining records as your jurisdiction’s law requires.

4. Not tax, legal or accounting advice

CustomInvoice records tax rates that you enter and reports what you collected. It does not determine which rates apply to you, does not perform jurisdiction lookup, and does not file anything. Nothing in the app is tax, legal or accounting advice. Consult a qualified professional about your obligations.

5. Price

This version of CustomInvoice has no in-app purchase and no subscription. Every feature is available, with no document limit, no watermark and no trial countdown.

If a paid option is introduced in a future version, it will be described in the app before any purchase, purchases will be handled by Apple under their terms, and these terms will be updated in the same release. Documents you have already created will remain yours to view, send and export.

6. No warranty

CustomInvoice is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any calculation will meet the requirements of your jurisdiction. Review every document before sending it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CustomApps LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or unpaid or disputed invoices, arising from your use of CustomInvoice. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may terminate access for use that violates Section 2.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes and in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which CustomApps LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
